We adopted Rocket's sister after Born Free Pet Shelter failed for 4 months to find her a nice home. We named her Halley to stick with the Space Theme. She is very quiet and shy which makes her the exact opposite of Rocket. Anyways that brings the number of living creatures to 7 in the White House.
Isabella is graduating from The Wonder Years preschool in May. Where has all the time gone? We are so proud of her! Not sure why the photographer decided to use grass as a backdrop?
Isabella and Grace played their first soccer game together. Was a close game until the end when the Gomez Kids literally kicked it up a notch. The coach had to separate Isabella and Grace into different shifts to prevent them from playing together on the field.
Isabella had her first soccer practice on February 9, 2008. We are not sure if she is more excited about the fact that her team color is pink or that she is playing on Grace Burke's team. Regardless, she has been practicing kicking the ball every day since. Now if we can only get her to stop picking up the ball with her hands. Apparently she has a problem sharing the ball with the rest of the team as well.
While organizing our files after the move into the new house, we discovered a list of baby names that Cynthia and I had created. Apperantly Isabella's name was crossed off the list of possible candidates. Funny how this worked out.
We have just adopted a 4 month old ridgeback doberman mix. The litter was abondened somewhere in Hialeah, FL and rescued shortly after birth by Born Free. We wish that we could have taken them all. This now makes a grand total of 4 animals and 3 humans living in the house.
The weather was brutally cold but the time was memorable. We had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa in New York City this year. Isabella's favorite part of the trip was ice skating at the Natural Museum of History. We saw all the sites until we could not push the stroller any further.
It was an action packed day at the new Splitzville in Sunset Place. By the end of the day Grace Burke was carrying Isabella's bowling ball as the ball was literally 1/3 Isabella's body weight. First time I have ever seen the ball bounce of the pins.
We have just purchased our first home. Now if we can only finish the repairs so that we can finally move in.
Jeff went hang gliding on Lookout Mountain compliments of Jono Fisher. I have studied Aerospace Engineering my entire life but have never had the opportunity to fly. It was an extremely memorable experience to say the least.
